Tassie Trail Runs - 6 of Tassie's best trail runs!
The Tasmanian trail running series showcases some of Tassie's finest tracks and trails for off road running. These tracks vary in difficulty from gravelled paths to steep, rough tracks, but they are all great adventures and some of our favourite runs.
So if you like getting out in the bush and exploring your backyard then these runs are for you. While some may choose to race, these events are more about enjoying some awesome trails and the speed at which you do so is entirely up to you. Walkers are more than welcome.

Run #2 Mt Wellington
Saturday 13th March 2010
12 km

Mt Wellington would have to be one of Tassie's finest locations for trail running - only 10 minutes drive from Hobart , we are spoilt for choice with technical rock-hopping, creek crossings and waterfalls, beautiful single track and sweeping views over the city and coast.
This run will take in the classic Mt Wellington summit loop.
Starting and finishing at the Springs we thought we go high whilst the weather is still good.
The route follows the Organ Pipes track to the Chalet, then follows the road up to the Panorama track which takes you to the summit straight. A short run up the road again takes you to the summit and some awesome views over Hobart and South East Tasmania as well as views over the Southern Mountains to the southwest. The route then heads out along the plateau before plunging down the Zig Zag track to rejoin the Organ Pipes track and return to the Springs ofr a well earned rest.
$20 pre-entry only. online.
***NOTE: we are limited to 50 runners for this event, so get your entries in early to guarantee a spot***
You will need to register between 8:15 - 8:45 am for a 9 am start.
